About Dr. Alvarez

Dr. Boris Alvarez graduated from the New York University College of Dentistry in 2007, where he was accepted into the Senior Honors Program in Orofacial Pain. He further pursued his passion for surgical dental procedures during a General Practice Residency at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, an affiliate of Seton Hall University School of Graduate Medical Education in Paterson, New Jersey.

Dr. Alvarez regularly participates in continuing education programs, including a Residency in Implant Dentistry, covering both surgical and prosthetic phases, sponsored by the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID). He is a certified provider of Lumineers and Invisalign, reflecting his commitment to offering a wide range of advanced dental treatments.

Believing strongly in the importance of continuing education to enhance his skills and better serve his patients, Dr. Alvarez is currently pursuing a Fellowship with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. In June 2014, he was honored with a Fellowship Award from the prestigious Academy of General Dentistry, recognizing his dedication and expertise. Additionally, he is a Fellow of Orofacial Pain at Roseman University and a Fellow of the Academy of Implant Dentistry.

Dr. Alvarez holds several leadership positions, including serving as the Secretary of The New Jersey Academy of General Dentistry and as a PACE Council Member of The Academy of General Dentistry.

He enjoys performing a variety of dental procedures, including molar root canal therapy, implant placement and restoration, surgical extractions, and aesthetic/cosmetic treatments. His professional affiliations include the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, New Jersey Dental Association, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and The Passaic County Dental Society.

Dedicated to providing his patients with the highest quality dental care in a warm and comfortable environment, Dr. Alvarez also values his time outside of dentistry. He enjoys spending time with his wife and their two sons, and in his free time, he likes running, hiking, biking, playing soccer, and reading.
